All in a Day’s Work: Original Scholarship, Creativity Shine at Alenda Lux

In one day, more than 660 students presented and performed their original work at the Alenda Lux Symposium. Through close collaboration with faculty, students asked unasked questions and contributed to the body of knowledge in fields ranging from biology to philosophy. The symposium gave them a forum to share that work with their peers and the broader community.

The Alenda Lux Symposium started in 2017 as a celebration of the vast and varied accomplishments of Davidson students. The all-campus celebration of community-based learning, scholarly and creative work, highlighted student work through posters, presentations, performances and displays representing just about every discipline. The symposium has become an annual tradition at Davidson College at the end of each academic year.
