Carmella Foley
Lab Technician, Behavioral Pharmacology Lab
Education
- B.S. Appalachian State University
Background
I graduated from Appalachian State University with my bachelor's degree in psychology.
During my time at Appalachian State, I worked as a Behavior Technician which deepened my interest in adolescent psychology and ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in clinical psychology.
In January 2026, I joined Davidson's Psychology staff as a lab technician in Professor Mark Smith's Behavioral Pharmacology Lab. In this role, I am responsible for supervising and conducting research on substance use, this includes conducting behavioral tests, administering treatments, and managing day-to-day lab activities.
