Background

After getting my Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Florida International University, I went to work for SPSS (statistical software company). That provided me with an excellent background in fields that use statistics and was a foundation for my career. Although my roots have always been in education, I branched off into Public Health and went to work for Johns Hopkins University at the Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Statistical Programmer where I contributed to understanding asthma in an inner city environment. From there I went to Kenya for a year as a statistical consultant for an NIH grant studying malaria development within mosquitoes. From there I worked in a data management capacity for various universities for several years until I took time off of my career to take care of my parents while they were ill. Having a pause helped me to focus on what I wanted to do when I resumed my career. I have come back to my first love and that is supporting education the best way I know how and that is through statistics.
