Background
I am a theatre director, educator, and immersive experience maker from Charlotte, North Carolina. I am the cofounder and Artistic Director of Mixed Metaphors Productions.
I began my professional theatre career at Virginia Stage Company as the Associate Director and Resident Dramaturg. While at VSC, I worked on The Taming of the Shrew, Peter and the Starcatcher, A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, and Grounded. While at VSC, I also created With Your Name Upon My Lips and The Line: Art for Social Change Series. Next, at Cleveland Public Theatre, I directed Four Veils, Adventures of the Page Turner, and The Four Fruits of Hope.
Since returning to Charlotte, I have worked on The Wolves at Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, Oslo and Ugly Lies the Bone for Three Bone Theatre, and For Colored Girls with Brand New Sheriff Productions.
