Background
I joined the Department of Data Science as a new faculty member in 2025. My research primarily focuses on Bayesian statistics, statistical learning, and their intersections with bioinformatics. I am also particularly interested in interdisciplinary data science, especially its unique role in fields such as social sciences and humanities. As part of the department, I teach and develop statistics and data science courses while also helping build a data science curriculum.
Prior to joining Davidson, I spent a significant portion of time living in Dallas, Texas, for both my undergraduate and graduate work. When I’m not thinking about statistics and data, I like to run when the weather is nice, read a novel or two, and explore North Carolina a bit more.
