Marshall Welch Assistant Director for Operations of the College Union

Surrounded by sports and a culture of competition, I began my career at the University of Tennessee Athletics department. Quickly finding a niche for Events & Facility Management in the fast-paced realm of Intercollegiate Athletics, I found myself moving across the country to the University of Washington and then back again to the University of Georgia.

Eventually landing at Long Beach State (and my previous destination), my role primarily focused on generating revenue through external rentals and leading the Athletics Event Management department with oversight of all game management. My time at Long Beach put a spotlight on my love for working with students and helping them grow both professionally and as persons. This interest led me back home to Davidson College with my current role within the Alvarez College Union.
