DCN Institutions
DCN Inaugural Cohort of Institutions 2026-27
The first cohort of 24 DCN institutions comes from 15 states and the District of Columbia.
They include 13 private and 11 public institutions; 10 of the schools have 10,000 students or more, 14 have fewer than 10,000.
The cohort also includes three graduate schools of public and international affairs (at Baruch College, CUNY; American University, and the University of Pittsburgh).
The public institutions include two state flagship campuses (the University of Arkansas and the University of Delaware), a historically black university (Delaware State University), a community college (Carroll Community College), a liberal arts institution (College of Charleston), and several Hispanic-serving institutions (Baruch College CUNY; Dalton State University; and the University of Texas, San Antonio). They also include two institutions primarily serving coastal and rural communities (Coastal Carolina and Western Carolina Universities).
The private institutions include both liberal arts colleges (Agnes Scott, Furman, Lafayette, Queens, Rhodes, Simpson, Queens, Wabash, and Washington and Lee) and larger research-oriented universities (American, Clark, DePaul, Elon, and Tufts Universities). They include a women's college (Agnes Scott College) and a men's college (Wabash College) and several institutions with religious affiliations.
