Davidson Elects First International Student as SGA President

Davidson students this week elected political science major Zi Yang '16 from Wenzhou, China, as president of the Student Government Association, and VJ Brown as vice president. Known as "Zi," Yang is the first international student ever elected to lead the SGA. Zi was also was the first international student body president at his high school, Charlotte Country Day. His election highlights the increasing number of international students at Davidson. This year, there are 35 from China alone, and about 100 total from outside the United States.
