LA Times: Davidson Best At Rethinking Four-Year Education Model

In a recent article for the LA Times, Stanford University Professors and editors of the book Remaking College: The Changing Ecology of Higher Education Mitchell Stevens and Micheal Kirs offer their take on alternatives to the standard four-year, residential model of higher education.

According to Stevens, Davidson College excels among selective private universities at exploring alternatives to traditional education by offering courses that feature "flipped" lectures, for example. President Carol Quillen said the college is continually exploring new ways to modernize the curriculum and teaching.
