Housing & Dining
Living at Davidson
At Davidson, over 90% of students live on campus during their four years. Our residential community offers housing and dining options that fit a variety of needs and preferences within our student body.
From nutritional needs to individualized roommate-matching, Davidson strives to make our campus become home.
Residence Life Housing & Roommate-Matching
Your room is more than just a place to sleep and study; it's a place to live and learn. Most first-year students at Davidson are placed in residence halls exclusive to first years and occupy a double room. To ensure that new students are able to build community, first years are paired together and placed in residence halls through a careful personality-matching process. After their first year, students choose their own roommates and select their housing through a lottery process.
Dining at Davidson
Davidson's Dining Services venues focus on nutrition, variety, freshness and sustainability. With home-style favorites, international dishes, vegetarian and vegan options, late-night cravers and more, students can find what they want to eat when they want it. The college offers three main dining locations: Vail Commons, Davis Café and the Wildcat Den.
Choosing a Meal Plan
All Davidson College students participate in the College dining program. Meal plans offer convenient pre-paid dining at a variety of campus locations. With included Dining Dollars, meal plans also allow students to use their meal plan at campus vending machines and at Summit Outpost.
