MDR: Davidson College Chef Serves up Healthy Meals

The Mediterranean Diet Roundtable (MDR), a site bringing together decision-makers in the U.S. food industry to promote Mediterranean food choices, features Executive Chef Craig Mombert for providing Davidson students with scratch cooking and world flavors.

Based on research showing that the traditional Mediterranean Diet reduces the risk of certain illnesses, the organization promotes a balanced diet in organizations such as schools, hospitals and stores.

The site's profile of the 14-year Davidson chef says, "Craig studies culinary trends and world cuisines, then develops recipes and menus that spotlight world flavors while using available seasonal produce from local farmers and the three-year-old Farm at Davidson."
