Davidson’s Amanda Miller on Breaking Perceived Barriers to College

Young students in challenging situations often rule out college from their futures, citing financial issues, low grades, their parents' expectations, and other factors. To encourage these students to believe in their potential and help them access a quality college education, Davidson's College College Advising Corps (CAC) Advisor Amanda Miller offers responses to their concerns in a recent post for the CAC blog. Her post was republished on the National College Access Network website and in the "Success Digest" e-newsletter.

Davidson is a proud partner of the College Advising Corps, which places well-trained college graduates in under-resourced high schools as college advisors, with the goal of supporting students as they navigate the complex processes of college admission and matriculation.

The National College Access Network is an organization committed to improving the quality and quantity of support that underrepresented students receive to apply to, enter, and succeed in college.
