Yahoo! Sports: How Stephen Curry Went from Ignored College Recruit to Possible NBA MVP

Now the front-runner for the NBA's title of Most Valuable Player, Steph Curry is one of the most off-the-radar contenders in NBA history, Yahoo! sports writer Pat Forde says.

Because of Curry's size, as a high school senior he was overlooked by many college recruiters, but not by Davidson College Basketball Coach Bob McKillop. In fact, Curry's athleticism first caught McKillop's attention years earlier, when he played baseball with McKillop's son. Years later, after three weeks of basketball practice in the fall of 2006, McKillop knew that he wanted Curry to play for Davidson. "He had all the technical talents," McKillop said, "but also all the emotional talents."

A decade later, Curry is on the verge of being named the NBA MVP.
