WSOC: College Students Find Political Voices Ahead of N.C. Primary

Tuesday's North Carolina primary will be the first presidential race in which many college students are old enough to vote. The controversial election has affected first-time voters. In an interview with WSOC reporter Joe Bruno, Jeneshia Washington-Hughes '18, Bridget Lavender '18 and Drew Kromer '19 shared their thoughts on the election season and student political engagement.

"I've always wanted to get into politics and if this is the expectation for how I am supposed to act, I am unfortunately not going to meet that expectation," Washington-Hughes said.
