We Did It! Thanks for Going #AllinforDavidson

More than 2,727 donors gave more than $763,269 to Davidson in a single day during the college’s third #AllinforDavidson challenge. The total includes $350,000 from challenge donors plus all the gifts made by alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends in the 24-hour period.

“It is a privilege to be a part of Davidson College every day, but #AllinforDavidson builds extraordinary energy that reminds us why we’re here,” said President Carol Quillen. “We rely on financial contributions to educate tomorrow’s leaders and to achieve our highest aspirations. Thank you for turning your passion for Davidson into gifts that change lives.”

“I have long been inspired by the strong culture of philanthropy at Davidson,” said Lisa Howe Combs ’90, director of The Fund for Davidson, “but the opportunity to join the annual giving team and participate directly in this important giving day was incredible. I am proud to call Davidson my alma mater, and I am proud of the efforts of each person who chose to join in the fun and make a difference by going #AllinforDavidson.”

For the last 13 years, Davidson has celebrated one of the highest alumni participation rates in the country through The Fund for Davidson. The current fiscal year ends June 30. Every gift counts toward the college’s $425 million Game Changers: Inspiring Leaders to Transform the World campaign, which has raised more than $295 million to date.
