Robin Barnes Awarded Book Prize

Robin Barnes, Ph.D., professor emeritus, has been awarded the 2016 Roland H. Bainton Book Prize of the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference for his recent book Astrology and Reformation (Oxford U.P., 2015/16). An announcement of the award will be published in The Sixteenth Century Journal and Perspectives on History, the magazine of the American Historical Association.

Barnes has also been invited to speak about his work at Stanford University this coming spring, and will deliver an associated paper at the University of Potsdam, Germany in May 2017.

In addition, his essay titled "Reforming Time" has recently appeared in The Oxford Handbook of the Protestant Reformations, ed. Ulinka Rublack (Oxford U.P., 2016).
