The Lake Norman Citizen newspaper has dubbed men's basketball coach Bob McKillop as its "Citizen of the Year." The designation isn't based on a single year's achievement. Instead, the paper made its selection based on the fact that "the success he breeds has become an expected staple of every year of Lake Norman life."
