Charlotte Business Journal: Davidson College Championing Entrepreneurship in Liberal Arts
Davidson College CIO Raechelle Clemmons is the Charlotte Business Journal's featured newsmaker in the June 30 issue. In a Q&A, Clemmons talks about how Davidson College is reimagining the liberal arts experience for the 21st century. Clemmons is heading up the development of The Hub@Davidson, a new center for entrepreneurship and innovation, the first of its kind among liberal arts institutions. The Hub will serve as a rally point for students, faculty and the Lake Norman and Charlotte business communities.
"Davidson is building a national reputation as an innovative institution, thinking about how we create a liberal arts education or experience for the 21st century," Clemmons said. "We see ourselves as the first in the nation in our type of institution to do something like this. We think that really sets us apart."
