On Tuesday, May 6, Davidson College President Doug Hicks ’90 was the special guest on “Charlotte Talks,” a daily, hour-long talk show produced by WFAE, Charlotte’s NPR affiliate.

Hicks and host Mike Collins covered the state of higher education and the steps Davidson is taking to lead through a period of great disruption.

“The approach we've taken is to follow our statement of purpose, to live out our values, which includes our honor code and integrity,” Hicks said.

Hicks recently signed a statement for “constructive engagement” amid conflict between the federal government and institutions of higher education. The statement was published by the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AACU)
