On Friday, May 23, Davidson College President Doug Hicks ’90 was the featured guest on “Carolina Business Review,” a long-running talk show focused on policy and commerce in the Carolinas that is produced by PBS Charlotte.
Hicks joined host Chris William and panelists John Hood, president of the John William Pope Foundation, and Joseph Von Nessen, research economist at the Darla Moore School of Business.
The wide-ranging conversation covered artificial intelligence, the shifting job marketplace for graduates and how Davidson aims to develop students into leaders.
“We are training people to be good citizens and to have meaningful careers to contribute to productivity in their own lives and in their firms and to the economy,” Hicks said.
The episode will air on PBS stations throughout North and South Carolina. It also will be available on the CBR YouTube channel.
