Background

I serve as the chief operational leader for the Deliberative Citizenship Initiative (DCI) and the Deliberative Citizenship Network (DCN) and coordinate engagement with our partner institutions, management of our federal FIPSE grant, and implementation of our inter-connected training, deliberation, and outreach programs. I look forward to collaborating with faculty, staff, students, and community members in advancing Davidson’s leadership in civil discourse, deliberative pedagogy, and free expression.

I bring more than a decade of experience in designing and scaling complex initiatives that foster constructive engagement across large organizations. Throughout my career, I have specialized in strategic communications, change management, and building consensus across multi-stakeholder institutions. My background includes advising executive leadership and designing data-driven engagement strategies within a Fortune 50 corporation, Lowe’s Companies, Inc. Additionally, I have extensive experience leading operations and overseeing compliance and data assessment for complex federal and state-funded contracts. I am deeply committed to civil discourse and deliberative policymaking and am an active member of our local community, having served on the Town of Davidson Sustainability Committee and as a DCI D Team Member. I hold a Master of Social Work from Union University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Vanderbilt University.
