Background

In 2018, I moved to North Carolina from Georgia and began working as a counselor at North Carolina State University. I am excited to now join the Davidson community and hope to continue supporting students and their mental health needs. My areas of interest include mood disorders, adjustment concerns, eating concerns, addictive behaviors, racial/ethnic minorities and LGBTQIA+ concerns.

In my therapeutic work, I integrate Acceptance Commitment therapy and Feminist theories. I believe it is important to be aware of the biopsychosocial context in which students exist and how the intersection of those identities can impact their ability to live a life congruent with their values.
