Background

I am an active soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra leader who has been garnering critical acclaim throughout the country. I have been described by the San Francisco Classical Voice as “a standout player, both technically brilliant and musically innovative”. The Miami Herald has called my solo playing “exquisite”, while the New Orleans Times Picayune describes me as a “brilliant concertmaster and a superb violinist”.

Currently I hold positions as associate concertmaster of the Charlotte Symphony and the Colorado Music Festival, as well as guest concertmaster of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, where I have served as concertmaster and guest concertmaster for the last 10 years. I also have served as guest concertmaster of orchestras including the Jacksonville and Kansas City symphonies. As a founding member of the Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble, I have performed across the U.S. in critically acclaimed concerts that emphasized new music. I have also served as section violinist in the San Francisco Symphony and Grant Park Orchestra.

I have appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Milwaukee Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, New World Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra, and have performed as soloist and chamber musician in Europe and the United States. I have collaborated with other notable musicians such as Vadim Gluzman, Benedetto Lupo, Donald Weilerstein, and Frederica von Stade in chamber music performances.

I graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory with a masters degree in chamber music study, where I studied under Camilla Wicks and Mark Sokol. My awards include the Jules Reiner prize as a fellow at the Tanglewood festival, and first prizes in the Fischoff chamber music competition. I perform on a 1740 G. B. Celoniati violin.
