Background

In my position, I serve as the central staff member for the Lula Bell Houston Resource Center. I work with our student staff and volunteers to provide operational oversight while managing the space. This includes coordinating Lula Bell’s life skills and social justice programming and other events. Additionally, I direct Service Odyssey, a student-led summer pre-orientation experience that reflects and enriches Davidson's commitment to develop the spirit of service within each student. I also have the pleasure of advising service-based student organizations within the Civic Engagement Council (CEC).

I call Jacksonville, Florida home and am a proud graduate of Florida State University. There, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a double major in Political Science in 2020. As an undergraduate student, I developed a passion for helping college students feel like they matter and belong. I decided to further my education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating with a Master of Science in College Student Personnel in 2022. Prior to Davidson, I started my journey in student affairs working in the function of family engagement for 3 years. Helping orient students and their families to transition and prepare for success remains a passion of mine, and I am an active NODA (Association for Orientation, Transition, Retention in Higher Education) member. Within NODA, I serve on the Graduate Student Network leadership team.

I joined the Davidson College community in August of 2023 and am excited to serve our Wildcats and support their success and wellbeing. Outside the office, you can find me photographing my favorite people and places, collecting sneakers, watching Formula 1, playing basketball, or spending time with my partner and our shih tzu, Winnie.
