Summit Coffee, a local favorite in downtown Davidson, expanded onto the Davidson College campus with a coffee shop, restaurant, and pub in the fall of 2013.

The pub/coffeehouse includes a full commercial kitchen, outdoor patio seating, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking Patterson Court. The space is designed to be a place for students to socialize and study. Summit serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night snacks. The menu varies but includes coffee, tea, smoothies, pastries, toasts, bagels, and granola, as well as canned and draft beverages including beer, kombucha, and La Croix. It is also home to fundraisers, weekly community nights, and student performances (acapella and bands).

Summit was originally owned and operated by brothers and Davidson graduates Tim Helfrich '00 and Brian Helfrich '07. Today, the space is entirely student-run and managed.

Visit Summit's website for more information about Summit Coffee Outpost.
