Background

As a Davidson College alum, I love being back in this special place. During my time in college, I double-majored in Anthropology and Music and studied abroad in Jordan and Nepal. My interest in anthropology led to my fascination with the intersection of culture and health, especially reproductive health. After Davidson, I worked in the Philippines on programs focused on HIV testing and awareness and the prevention of gender-based violence. I also worked at a local public health department in a rural part of Oregon. Prior to my return to Davidson, I worked at Duke University’s Student Health Center (DuWell). I also interned at the Peace Corps’ Office of Global Health & HIV to create health curriculum for Peace Corps Volunteers educating youth. I graduated with my Master of Public Health in Maternal, Child, and Family Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. I returned to Davidson as a Health Educator in 2023. When I’m not in the office, you can find me paddle-boarding at Lake Norman and trying the tastiest chocolate treats in the area.
