Background

In the first half of my undergraduate career, I studied and researched in the biological sciences, specifically immunology, under Dr. Shannon Jones (University of Richmond), where I investigated the effect of e-cigarettes on mouse macrophages by measuring cytotoxicity. I discovered my love for computer science and used the second half of my undergraduate career to explore further and research, under Dr. Barry Lawson (Bates College) and Dr. Zachary Dodds (Harvey Mudd College), the power of the programming language Python to integrate computer science into other branches of academia, specifically within the biological sciences. I am now working with Dr. Tabitha Peck in the Davidson Research in Immersive Virtual Environments (D.R.I.V.E.) Lab to investigate how virtual reality helps us to answer psychological questions.
