Davidson’s Office of Fellowships connects students and recent alumni to prestigious and world-renowned fellowships and scholarships, including the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, Rhodes Scholarship and more.

The program approaches each application process as a learning opportunity with the potential to be a formative experience, helping candidates articulate their strengths, refine their goals and envision their lives of leadership and service.

What is a Fellowship?

Fellowships are competitive awards and programs that offer funding and other resources for meaningful immersive work, like research, teaching, or service. Like scholarships, fellowships can also support academic study.

Fellowship Opportunities

The fellowships and scholarships below are those we most often work with, but this list is not comprehensive. Review the Opportunities At-a-Glance chart (Google Drive) for an overview of requirements and then check each award page below for information about campus endorsement, general eligibility, timing, and requirements.

Awards for Historically Underrepresented Populations

In addition to these programs, all Davidson students are strong candidates for other prestigious awards, including the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, Rhodes Scholarships and more.

Nomination & Endorsement

If an award is marked with an asterisk in the section above, you must first be endorsed or nominated through Davidson’s Office of Fellowships to apply. There is a separate Davidson application process to be considered for endorsement or nomination with a deadline set much earlier than the fellowship's published application deadline. Davidson committees review applications, conduct interviews with candidates and make endorsement and nomination decisions.

All awards listed are competitive, and we encourage you to consult with us for application guidance even if endorsement is not required.
