A Gift for the Future: Alum Helps Sustain and Grow Sustainability Scholars Program

In its 13 years, Davidson College’s Sustainability Scholars Summer Internship Program has connected students passionate about people and planet with community partners in the Charlotte area. It’s opened career pathways and has been an invitation to explore sustainability roles across diverse fields and organizations. Now, thanks to the generosity of environmental specialist Elizabeth Lusk ’85, the college’s sustainability program can continue turning out student leaders for years to come.

From Outdoors to Whiteboards: Kenan Wood ’25 Awarded Churchill Scholarship

Kenan Wood ’25 is the first Davidson College student to be awarded the prestigious Churchill Scholarship. The scholarship offers full funding for top American students in STEM fields to attend a master’s degree research program at Cambridge University’s Churchill College. Wood, a mathematics and computer science double major, is one of 16 students in the United States to receive the scholarship this year.
