Led by these alumni, the Davidson Asian South Asian Pacific Islander Alumni Network (DASAPIAN) exists to advocate for and support Asian, South Asian and Pacific Islander (ASAPI) students and alumni.
Audrey Meigs '23
Co-Chair
Audrey Meigs is a 2023 graduate who majored in Political Science and minored in East Asian Studies. During her time at Davidson, she was the president of the Pan-Asian Student Association (PASA) and the Recruitment Chair for Student Initiative for Academic Diversity (SIAD). She is currently a graduate student at Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy. Audrey has worked with several ASAPI organizations, focusing on projects related to intercountry adoption policy, AAPI curriculum, and international relations between the United States and Asia Pacific. Audrey currently lives in Durham, NC with her partner, dog (Fern), and cat (Zahra).
Abigail Ordillas '18
Co-Chair
Abby Ordillas majored in Anthropology and Chinese Language & Literature at Davidson, and then earned a Master of Public Administration at The Ohio State University. She currently works on early childhood programs as a Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Abby has worked with ASAPI-serving organizations in Ohio, Washington D.C., and China, focusing on education, international relations, and civic engagement. Abby currently lives in Arlington, VA.
Akanksha Das '16
Student-Alumni Liaison
Akanksha (she/her) majored in psychology with a minor in medical humanities at Davidson, and then went on to earn her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She is currently a licensed psychologist, couples therapist, and postdoctoral health services researcher at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Her research is centered on increasing equitable access to and quality of health care for minoritized communities. Akanksha currently lives in Durham, and in her free time she loves to travel and explore NC beaches with her partner, and their dog, Roo.
