Join us for an unforgettable weekend as the Davidson Black Alumni Network returns to campus. This is your invitation to re-engage with your Wildcat community—reconnecting with lifelong friends, building genuine bonds with current students, honoring our history, and celebrating the brilliance within our alumni network.

Whether it has been two years or twenty, come home to Davidson.
 

Weekend Highlights

Connecting Across Generations: Engage directly with current students through authentic conversations and networking. Share your post-Davidson journey, offer insight, or simply listen and encourage the next generation as they navigate campus life today.

Legacy, Reflection, & History: Take time for meaningful reflection on Davidson's history and ongoing evolution. Gain firsthand insights into the critical work of the Commission on Race and Slavery, and spend dedicated, contemplative time visiting With These Hands: A Memorial to the Enslaved and Exploited.

Inaugural DBAN Alumni Awards Gala: Dress up and celebrate with us for an inspiring evening as we honor excellence within our community. We will present the first-ever series of Davidson Black Alumni Awards—shining a spotlight on alumni who have made exceptional contributions.

Social Opportunities: Unwind and reminisce with fellow alumni across all generations. Throughout the weekend, you’ll find plenty of curated spaces to catch vibes, share your favorite Davidson memories, and create new ones with old and new friends alike.

Weekend Schedule

Weekend Check-In Noon – 5 p.m. | Nancy Blackwell Alumni House
Kick off DBAN Homecoming weekend by picking up your nametag, schedule details, and welcome items. Stop by to reconnect, ask questions, and set the stage for an unforgettable weekend back on campus.

Candlelight Service of Remembrance 5:30 p.m. | With These Hands: A Memorial to the Enslaved and Exploited Memorial site
Descendants, Davidson town community members, Davidson College students, faculty, and staff will gather for a candlelight service marking the first anniversary of the dedication of With These Hands: A Memorial to the Enslaved and Exploited. Together, we will remember and honor the people whose labor helped build and sustain Davidson and recognize newly discovered names uncovered through ongoing historical research. 

Welcome Social 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. | Lakehouse Wine Bar & Grill, 18665 Harborside Dr, Cornelius, NC 
Ease into the weekend with great conversation, refreshing drinks, and delicious food. Reunite with old friends and meet fellow alumni as we officially launch the homecoming festivities.

Young Alumni Afters 9 p.m. | Location TBD
Keep the night going! Join recent grads for a high-energy late-night hangout to catch up, unwind, and celebrate together!

Guided Visitation & Campus Tour 9:30 – 11 a.m. | Oak Row & With These Hands Memorial
Reflect on our shared history with a guided tour of historic Oak Row museum and view With These Hands: A Memorial to the Enslaved and Exploited Honor the contributions that shaped Davidson while exploring campus evolution. Experience the newest features added to Oak Row museum in the last year.

Pre-Game Tailgate 11:30 a.m. | Davidson College Stadium
Fuel up before kickoff! Connect across generations over lunch as current students and alumni mingle, share experiences, and build Wildcat pride together at the Black Student Coalition house.

Davidson College Football vs. Stetson Kick-off at 1 p.m. | Davidson College Stadium
Head to the stands to cheer on Davidson as they take on Stetson! Bring your school spirit, wear your red and black, and pack the stadium with Wildcat pride.

DBAN Alumni Awards Gala 6 p.m. | Location TBD
An evening of excellence, inspiration, and celebration. Join us as we honor outstanding alumni for their leadership, service, and impact on the Davidson community and beyond.

Gala After Party 9 – 11 p.m. | Location TBD
The celebration doesn't stop after the awards! Hit the dance floor, enjoy great music, and celebrate our community’s achievements in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

Farewell Fellowship 10:30 a.m. | With These Hands Memorial
Close out Homecoming weekend with a grounding moment of reflection, gratitude, and community connection. Gather for final farewells before heading home filled with renewed Wildcat spirit.
