Volunteer for Davidson

Regional volunteers strengthen the Davidson family by organizing local events and fostering connections between alumni, parents and prospective students. By serving as local ambassadors, these volunteers nurture college pride and build a vibrant community presence across their regions.

Reunion volunteers help foster a spirited atmosphere that strengthens bonds and rekindles friendships. Volunteers can choose to coordinate class-specific gatherings, encourage attendance and/or help champion alumni giving initiatives for their classmates.

Volunteers can mentor one-on-one, join industry panels or lead mock interviews. Volunteers can also empower alumni and students in their professional journeys by hosting job-shadowing opportunities, sharing network connections, posting opportunities within their organizations or leading skill-building workshops.

Class secretaries maintain communication within their class by sharing important updates, news and events through newsletters and media, such as the the Class Notes section of the Davidson Journal.

Class Ambassadors serve as a vital liaison between Davidson and their peers. By nurturing relationships and inspiring philanthropic support, volunteers help classmates align their personal passions with the college’s mission and funding needs.

Volunteers with Davidson's identity groups help facilitate events and initiatives that promote inclusion, cultural awareness and mutual support among members. By fostering connections within these networks, volunteers contribute to a sense of belonging and empowerment, enhancing the overall alumni experience.

Affinity reunion volunteers focus on organizing events for specific interest groups, such as cultural organizations or athletic teams, allowing alumni to reconnect through shared passions and experiences.

Serving on a Volunteer Advisory Board is a leadership opportunity to provide strategic insights that drive Davidson’s mission. Members collaborate with college leadership on alumni engagement and institutional advancement to help shape the college’s future. These prestigious roles are filled through a formal nomination process.

Parent and family volunteers support students' educational journeys by sharing their experiences, strengthening the family network and enhancing support systems for students and the broader college community. Volunteers assist with on-campus events, serve as regional ambassadors, and connect with new and prospective families.
