DLAN Leadership
This dynamic team brings a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to guide the next chapter of the Davidson LGTBQ+ Alumni Network (DLAN).
Their collective vision aligns seamlessly with our commitment to connecting and support LGBTQ+ alumni and serving as a resource for current students. We are confident that under their guidance, DLAN will continue to thrive.
Caroline Que '04
DLAN Chair
Caroline was a student leader of The Davidsonian, which led to a career in journalism at The New York Times and The Washington Post. She made good use of the Lake Campus while majoring in English with a concentration in Gender Studies. She retired early and lives with her partner in Davidson, where she also serves on the college’s Arts and Creative Engagement Advisory Board.
Richmond Blake ’09 (he/him)
While on campus, Richmond participated in the Bonner Scholars community service program, student government, and what is now Queers & Allies. Since graduating from Davidson, Richmond has served in foreign policy, advocacy, and legal roles. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Georgetown Law Center. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his fiancé, Long, and he looks forward to partnering with the DLAN community to support Davidson’s LGBTQ+ students.
John Boggess ’80 (he/him)
During his time at Davidson, John worked for the Theatre Department, gave prospective student tours, and spent a summer at Oxford. After graduation he moved to D.C. to work on Capitol Hill, for the Kennedy Center, the American College of Nurse-Midwives, and other non-profits. He also lived in Cincinnati, where he worked as a Realtor in Ohio and Kentucky. While in Cincinnati, he was active with CCMpower, which supports students at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati; and was on a grants review panel for ArtsWave, which funds more than 150 projects and organizations in the Cincinnati area. He is happy to be back in Virginia with his Hoosier husband, Ryan, but missing their kids who are in college in Ohio. Being closer to campus is very energizing for closer involvement with the DC family.
