Welcome to the hub of Virtual Programs offered by the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement. Dive into a world of virtual learning, networking opportunities and engaging activities that bring our Wildcat community together, no matter where in the world you are.
Chat with a ’Cat is Davidson College’s newest alumni professional development series, designed to strengthen career connections and create meaningful conversations within the Wildcat network. Hosted by the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement, each session features industry insights, and actionable strategies to help Davidson alumni grow, pivot, and thrive in their careers. Whether you’re exploring a new path, advancing in your current role, or seeking to expand your network, Chat with a ’Cat offers an accessible space to learn from experts and each other.
Recapture the heart of the Davidson College experience—time spent learning in the classroom! All alums, families and students are invited to enjoy virtual Back-to-School Classes featuring alums in a reunion class.
This semester, we meet at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 27, for a conversation with Shelley Rigger, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of Faculty and the Brown Professor of Asian Politics. Shelley Rigger is a beloved figure in the Davidson community and one of the world's leading experts on Taiwan. Using her book as a foundation, Shelley will explain how Taiwan’s money and hard work actually fueled China’s massive economic growth. She will also show how Taiwan influenced everything from China’s religion to the way people speak. Ultimately, she will use simple stories to make sense of today’s biggest global conflicts.
