Submit a Work Order
If you are in need of routine maintenance or non-emergency repairs, please submit a work order request via email or the link below.
For faculty and staff pest control needs, please call the Work Order Desk directly at 704-894-2595. All student pest control needs must be made through the Residence Life Office by emailing rlo@davidson.edu.
In order to get a timely response for a work order request, detailed information will need to be conveyed accurately. Please submit your work request as early in the day as possible during normal business hours (7am-4pm) Monday-Friday. Work orders requests are processed Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) 7am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
The Physical Plant staff attempts to address requests within one business day, however, some requests may require additional time to complete.

Emergency Requests
Should you need immediate service due to an active water leak, electrical outage, heating or cooling failures, fire or smoke alarms malfunctioning, broken locks on door, or sewage backups, please call the work order desk at 704-894-2595. During lunch (noon to 1pm) and after hours, your call will be automatically forwarded to an answering service, which will dispatch a Physical Plant technician on-call. Please be prepared to give your name, contact information, location on campus and a complete description of the problem to the answering service.
Additional Requests
Key Requests Students, email your key requests to RLO@davidson.edu. Faculty and staff, all new or duplicate key requests require approval from the Department head. Complete the Key Request Form (which includes the approval process) to submit your request. Please address any questions to the Work Order Desk at PhysicalPlant_WO@davidson.edu.
Request Event Set-Up Physical Plant can provide a variety of furnishings for your special events. We also rent furnishings from local companies as needed.
Request a Vehicle A rental pool of vehicles is available. We also have arrangements with local rental companies to supplement the pool as needed.
Request a Golf Cart A rental pool of golf carts is available.
