Parking adjacent to residence halls is restricted to loading and unloading on designated move-in/move-out days only.
Contact DCPD to obtain a special permit to avoid being ticketed or towed if unloading at times other than move-in and move-out.
Parking in the fire lane (curbside) along Patterson Court is prohibited.

Parking Violations
Davidson College reserves the right to remove from campus any vehicle that is illegally parked, non-registered, inoperable or unsafe to drive, or parked in such a way as to constitute a hazard, impede vehicular or pedestrian traffic, block the operation of emergency equipment, or otherwise interfere with other services.
Vehicle owners are responsible for all costs associated with the removal, impounding, and storage of such vehicles. Davidson College is not responsible for damage, loss of items, or theft from towed vehicles.
Davidson College uses:
Archer’s Wrecker Service
433 South Main Street
Davidson, N.C., 28036

Any vehicle parked illegally on campus will receive a citation. Registered vehicles will receive citation notifications by email. Unregistered vehicles will have a citation placed on the windshield. DCPD will not otherwise notify violators of citations issued.
Campus citation payments are processed through the college controller's office.
A state-issued citation is separate from a campus-issued citation and is recorded on your driving record and processed into the district court for disposition.
Appeals must be filed online within 14 days of receipt by logging in to your My Parking account. All appeal decisions are final.
The following reasons are not valid reasons to appeal a citation:
- Ignorance or misunderstanding of parking rules and regulations
- Late for class, appointments, etc.
- Inclement weather
- Inability to find a legal parking space
- Returning to campus late at night
Vehicle Safety
Davidson College is not responsible for the care or protection of vehicles or their contents while parked on campus. Remove your keys and valuables and lock the vehicle when it is left unattended.
Report any thefts immediately to DCPD by dialing 911.
