Early Decision at Davidson is designed for students who know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Davidson is their first choice.

Submitting an application Early Decision means that you are making the following important statements:

  • Davidson is your first choice college
  • You are not applying Early Decision to another college or university
  • If accepted to Davidson, you agree to enroll
  • If accepted, you will withdraw immediately all applications to other colleges and universities

Please give careful thought to your decision, and consult with your parents and guidance counselor. Early Decision applications are binding and represent a serious commitment to Davidson. Early Decision candidates who are denied admission may not reapply for Regular Decision in the same academic year. If any Regular Decision applicant to Davidson is accepted by another school under a binding Early Decision plan, the applicant must inform the Office of Admission and Financial Aid to withdraw the Davidson application.

If you have not yet completed the Early Decision Contract via Common or Coalition Application, please download and complete this Early Decision Form (PDF) and submit by email or postal mail.
