The Digital Music Classroom, located in room B-020 of the Sloan Music Center, is a state-of-the-art teaching space, consisting of six student workstations and one instructor station.

All stations are interconnected, and can output to the classroom's main video displays, two 90-inch HD video monitors.

Each student workstation consists of an iMac computer with two video displays, a Focus Scarlet audio interface, and a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 audio monitor system. Software includes Finale, Sibelius, Logic Pro, and MacGamut. A variety of keyboards and controllers are connected to each computer. These include:

  • Yamaha MOXF8 Music Production Synthesizer
  • Kurzweil PC3LE8
  • Kawai ES-X Digital Piano
  • Korg Krome 88 Music Workstation
  • Roland FA08 Synthesizer Sampler Sequencer

In addition, Ableton Push Controllers can be found in three workstations.
