Summer 2021 Update

Davidson College Day Camp at the Lake will not be held in Summer 2021. After considering the risks, recommendations (CDC/College/American Camp Association), required modifications and their impact on the overall experience for our campers, the decision was made to push back the return of Lake Camp until Summer 2022. We understand and share your disappointment, but we are hopeful that future guidance will allow us to provide the Lake Camp experience that you’ve come to know in our 20+ summers.

The Davidson College leadership team is continuously monitoring, adapting to and planning for the circumstances created by the coronavirus pandemic. Visit the college's COVID-19 page to see the ongoing steps being taken on and off campus.

Founded in summer 2000, Davidson College Day Camp at the Lake is a unique and exciting opportunity for rising fifth through ninth graders to make lifelong friends, learn new skills and make memories.

Weekly sessions allow campers the opportunity to experience Davidson College's 100+ acre Lake Campus facility through activities that include: waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, archery, swimming and more.

All instructors and counselors are hand-picked college and university students from around the country. All staff members are CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certified.
