Psi Chi
Psi Chi is the international honor society for psychology. The requirements for membership in the Davidson College chapter are listed below.
Membership Requirements
If you meet the following requirements you are eligible to apply for membership.
- Completion of at least three psychology courses
- Declared psychology major (center majors may also qualify, please speak with the Psi Chi adviser, contact info below)
- Rank in the upper 35 percent of your class in general scholarship
- Minimum psychology 3.0 grade point average
Psi Chi Members
- Receive recognition for academic accomplishments
- Are eligible to win awards based on their research
- May apply for undergraduate research grants (typical range of $500-$750)
If you are eligible, Psi Chi officers will contact you via email to invite you to join. If you have any questions, you may contact Psi Chi faculty adviser Maurya Boyd at maboyd@davidson.edu.
Most Psi Chi events are open to all psychology students, though the induction ceremonies in the fall and spring are restricted to Psi Chi members.
