Title IX Of The Education Amendments Of 1972

This law prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities and extends to employment and admission to institutions that receive Federal financial assistance. For purposes of Title IX, sex discrimination covers sexual harassment, including sexual violence. The Office for Civil Rights (U.S. Department of Education) is the applicable agency charged with enforcing Title IX. Age Discrimination Act Of 1975

This law protects individuals from discrimination based on age in programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance. The Act, which applies to all ages, permits the use of certain age distinctions and factors other than age that meet the Act's requirements. The Office for Civil Rights (U.S. Department of Education) and the U.S. Department of Labor, Civil Rights Center are the applicable agencies charged with enforcing this act.
