Indoor Air Quality (PDF)

Assists in the prevention of air quality issues, and outlines initiation procedures for indoor air quality investigations.

The college is committed to providing a work environment that is free of recognized hazards and to investigate complaints that may be related to poor indoor air quality. Acceptable indoor air quality is air in which there are no known contaminants at harmful levels and in which a substantial majority of people exposed do not express dissatisfaction.

Molds can have an adverse affect on indoor air quality. The Indoor Air Quality policy outlines the remedial measures that are required when evidence of significant mold is observed. The Environmental, Health and Safety Office encourages students and employees to learn more about molds, mold testing, the best way to control mold growth and guidelines for mold remediation in schools and commercial buildings.
