- September 17 - Constitution Day & National Voter Registration Day
- October 7-11 - National Voter Education Week
- October 11 - Deadline to register to vote or update existing registration. After this date, you can vote with a provisional ballot and do same-day registration. Check deadlines in other states.
- October 17 - November 2 - In-person Early Voting (North Carolina)
- October 29 - Vote Early Day
- October 29 at 5 p.m. - Deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot in NC. Check deadlines in other states.
- November 5 - Election Day
- November 6 - Election Hero Day
Take special note about photo identification requirements:
“Those who vote in North Carolina are asked to show photo ID when they check in to vote. Voters who vote by mail will be asked to include a photocopy of an acceptable ID when returning their ballot by mail. Many types of identification – including driver’s licenses, U.S. passports and State-approved student ID’s – will be accepted.”
Davidson College’s student ID, your CatCard, has been approved by the NCSBE as an acceptable form of photo identification in North Carolina. Review the full list of acceptable photo IDs.
