Implementation of the plan includes outlining universal precautions, establishing work-practice controls, personal protective equipment and the proper disposal of regulated waste and contaminated sharps.

Annual training is required for departments with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, such as Building Services, Athletics and Student Health.
