Essential Program Components
Programs that are more narrowly focused on a specific art form or practice (short-term residencies);
Programs that have a campus-wide focus and theme, and that welcome and support broader participation from students and other interested groups (longer-term residencies);
Residencies can be innovative and expand upon what's already being taught and explored on campus;
Emerging art forms should be incorporated into these programs. It's about more than bringing people in to do what we already do; we encourage new forms of expressive knowledge in relationship to art practices on campus-curricularly and extracurricularly.
