Multilingual Student Support
Davidson does not offer ESL/EFL courses or developmental English courses for students from diverse language backgrounds.
Instead, we believe in a mainstreaming-plus-support model in which our multilingual, multi-dialectical and native English-speaking students alike work together in all of their courses and are encouraged to seek writing support from their professors, peer tutors, and the multilingual student specialist, whether or not they are struggling in a course.
Virtual Multilingual Tutoring is available by appointment through Zoom and Google Docs. Please contact Dr. Rebeca Fernández, the multilingual student writing coordinator, at email@example.com. Professor Fernández is available to help students plan and revise writing assignments, including applications for graduate school, and internships. She is available for 50-minute consultations Monday-Friday afternoons.
Professor Rebeca Fernández provides students with specific feedback and targeted instruction on aspects of their writing.
