Peer Academic Coaching
The Peer Academic Coaching (PAC) program is designed to match students who possess exceptional academic skills with students who experience challenges or wish to enhance their academic skills.
*The Peer Academic Coaching Program has been temporarily suspended. In the meantime, please refer to the resources included in the Academic Success Toolkit. You may also schedule academic coaching sessions with the AADR Staff.*
Coaches assist students with academic skills such as time management, organization, note taking, studying, reading, and test taking. Coaches meet regularly with students to discuss academic strategies, create action plans, assess their progress, and identify needed support and resources.
If you are interested in becoming a Peer Academic Coach, contact Alysen Beaty at firstname.lastname@example.org. To qualify, you must be a sophomore or above in good academic standing and complete an application via Handshake, which includes uploading a resume and answering supplemental questions.
If you are a faculty or staff member and would like to refer a student to the Peer Academic Coaching program, please direct the student to the intake form. We will use information from the intake form to match the student with an appropriate coach. Once paired, the students will meet regularly to develop effective academic strategies.
