The Archives & Special Collections acquires many of its materials through generous donations from friends of Davidson and by the transfer of inactive records from college employees.
Friends of Davidson College Donate Materials to Archives and Special Collections
We welcome donations that further the educational mission of the Archives and Special Collections, diversify our holdings, and advance the curriculum of Davidson College. Examples of materials donated to us include letters, photographs, artifacts, memorabilia, college publications, and rare and unique books.

Davidson College Employees Transfer College Records
Employees of the college in every job create and store records every day. Records identified in Davidson’s records retention schedules should be transferred to the archives when they are no longer actively used.
