The United States Postal Service is experiencing unprecedented volume increases and limited employee availability due to the impacts of the COVID-19. We recommend sending official electronic transcripts via the National Student Clearinghouse whenever they are accepted.

Transcripts, Official or Unofficial

There is no charge for transcripts sent through ordinary mail or scanned and sent as an attachment (non-secure and uncertified) to an enrolled student at his or her current Davidson email account. Expedited mail delivery (e.g., FedEx) incurs additional costs; you may provide a FedEx account number or pay to Davidson College a fee of $20 (U.S. addresses) or $35 (non-U.S. addresses).

For secure and certified electronic transmissions, you need to use the National Student Clearinghouse website. There is a fee of $5 for secure, digitally signed electronic transcripts. You may send a secure electronic transcript to yourself for uploading or it may also be sent directly to that recipient.

Orders for other transcripts, including those sent via FedEx, may also be sent through the clearinghouse. The only transcript order that must go through the clearinghouse, however, is the order for a secure, certified electronic transcript.

To order a paper copy of your transcript(s), or a non-certified electronic copy, either stop by the Registrar's Office and fill out a request form or download our Paper Transcript Request Form (PDF) and email or fax it to the Registrar's Office.

We process transcripts as quickly as possible but do request that you allow three working days.
