Davidson College is approved by the State of North Carolina to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).
The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements provide a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
Colleges and universities offering distance education courses or programs are required to provide current and prospective students with the contact information for filing complaints with the educational institution, with its accrediting agency, and with the state agencies that handle complaints in students’ states of residence.

Davidson College students who wish to resolve a student complaint should follow the college’s Student Grievance procedures. The Dean of Students Office will provide guidance if students have questions about these procedures.

If the grievance cannot be resolved within the college, students may contact the North Carolina Post-Secondary Education Complaints Unit, which serves as the official state entity to receive complaints concerning post-secondary institutions that are authorized to operate in North Carolina. Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges Student Complaint Information
